Staff at Coventry Airport have been warned that jobs are likely to go aqfter holiday airline Thomsonfly pull out early next month. All 36 firefighters there have been sent letters warning them of possible redundancies in the months ahead, with up to 20 expected to go. Security guards at the airport have also been told their jobs were at risk.
Aspokesman for Coventry Airport said: ‘I can confirm we are consulting with a number of staff over possible redundancies due to the downturn in business. We wanted to consult with staff as early as we possibly can.’
