Terminal decision reserved
29.07.08
A High Court judge has reserved his decision on whether to allow Coventry Airport to build a new permanent terminal capable of handling two million passengers a year.
Legal arguments in the case, in which the airport hopes to overturn the government’s decision to refuse planning permission for what it says is a ‘modest’ expansion of passenger operations, lasted a total of 5½ days at the Central London court.
High Court judge Mr Justice Forbes yesterday reserved his decision in order to give a judgment in writing at a later date. However, with the Court’s summer vacation set to begin on Friday, and last all of August and September, a decision is not likely until October at the earliest.
