Passengers flying from Coventry Airport have told a delay recording website that it has the shortest queues in Britain. According to the online survey, over the last 2 months travellers at the airport had to wait less than 4 minutes to clear security and did not have to wait at all to get through immigration.
The figures recorded by passengers at Coventry airport are a sharp contrast to those at local rival Birmingham Airport, which came in 15th place. According to the website - www.ukairportdelays.co.uk - it had an average wait of 19 minutes to clear immigration.
Chris Orphanou, Coventry Airport's managing director, said: 'We are delighted that this survey underlines what we have always claimed at Coventry, that we put our passengers first.'
