Airport signs £4m air traffic control contract
19.06.10
Less than 5 weeks after acquiring Coventry Airport, Sir Peter Rigby’s aviation company Patriot Aerospace has signed a £4m contract with Serco for air traffic services at the hub. The objective of the deal is to get the airport operational as quickly as possible, and provide the highest levels of air traffic services with full radar and instrumental approaches, a spokesman said.
Sir Peter added: ‘We are confident we have selected the best option in Serco for the future air traffic service for Coventry Airport. With the co-operation of the Civil Aviation Authority and the new provider we will have full air traffic services operational shortly.'
