Sir Peter Rigby named as mystery bidder

The Coventry Telegraph has named tycoon Sir Peter Rigby as the mystery party lining up a swoop to buy Coventry Airport. One of the richest men in Britain – with an estimated fortune of £300 million – he is reported to have 'financial muscle and a passion for aviation'.
Sir Peter is reported to havebegun detailed talks with Coventry City Council about taking over the airport. The entrepreneur, who already owns the Patriot Aviation Group, is said to have been keeping tabs on developments since the airport closed in December.
