Wizz axe Poland flights
13.07.08
Wizz Air is to cut its links with Coventry Airport by axing its final route from the hub next month. The airline will stop its 3 times a week service from Coventry to Katowice in Poland on September 15.
The flights to Katowice were launched with a fanfare last July and were predicted to be the start of a bright new future for the airport. Wizz had already stopped its flights to Gdansk in May, just two months after launching them. Its decision to end its Katowice route comes 2 months after Ryanair announced it was launching flights to the Polish city from Birmingham Airport.
