Airport plans discussed
13.07.11
Plans for the area around Coventry Airport, which could create 10,000 jobs, were outlined to local businesses last night. Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce members met at the airport after owner Sir Peter Rigby announced proposals in April to invest £250m into the site.
The plans include developing an office park and improving the passenger terminal and cargo facilities. Chamber chief executive Louise Bennett described them as ‘very exciting’ and said they ‘could have a major impact on the regional and local economy’.
